Everything is starting to come together in Rm. 17.
Mathematics
-- doing mental mathematics
-- skip-counting
-- single and double digit addition with some subtraction
-- working through our math centres(place value, number decomposition, graphing)
English Language Arts
-- working through our Daily 5 centres
-- worked on How to .... instructional writing
-- worked on How to .... instructional writing
-- worked on the digraph "wr"
-- have read a couple of read-alouds and discussed comprehension and meaning
Spanish Language Arts
-- working on winter sports and activities
-- working in partners in Q & A format of preferred activities
Physical Education
- working in centres such as badminton, scoops, bowling, beanbag toss,
bowling, curling
- starting with stretches and aerobic exercise
Science
- studying liquids through experiments(viscosity and density so far)
- writing up experiment including hypothesis, materials, observations and conclusion
Social Studies
- continuing to study about Nova Scotia looking at the tides and lobster industry
