Buenos tardes a todos,
Students have been busy this week and we are making solid progress of starting to come together a true team/class.
ELA
The students started to work on their own opinion writing piece. The students will be giving reasons and evidence to be able to support their opinion.
We continued our discussions on feelings and kindness.
We read some history of Black History Month and watched a couple of videos as well. We watched a video on Viola Desmond and did an art activity connected her story. We did a I believe I can activity and created a poster as a class. We also had our literacy centres.
SS
We watched the Shaman legend of the Inuit. We reviewed geographical and cultural aspects of the Inuit as well.
SCI
In Science, we reviewed as a class our understanding of the Fluids unit. Today we had a small quiz recapping our understanding.
MAT
The students have been working on subtraction facts as well as solving and creating their own word problems. The students also worked in their Math centres.
ESP
In Espanol, the students worked on the on sounds(cla, ole, cli, clock, clu) and we did a reading comprehension piece connected to these sounds. The students also worked through their literacy centres as well as listening and reading on Raz-Kids.
