Buenos tardes,
the students have returned refreshed and are back to work.
In Math, we have had some review and started and new Fast as a Flash with mixed operations of addition and subtraction.
In Spanish, we started a unit on Food(Alimentos/Comida), continued with are centres and have had choral reading in class.
In English, we have worked at our centres. We continued with reading The Wild Robot. The students have also been working on their letters of gratitude as well as a report on the events of their Spring Break.
We also did some black and white art. The students did a great job on this work.
As you hopefully may have noticed an Agenda and a Home Reading pack has been sent home with your child. This is to let parents know what is happening in class. The intention of this is to have a form of daily communication between school and home. My hope is that the students read a book in both Spanish and English on a daily basis (I understand that this is not always possible) to get into a regular routine for the last part if the year. I am hoping that the students take initiative on their own however any support is appreciated.
