Tomorrow is Picture Day 📸! Remember to bring your best 'sonrisa' (smile)😄 Please remember to bring your books for library on Thursday! Technology Forms went home today - please sign and bring back ASAP!
We had the Terry Fox run on Monday! The students did awesome and they should be so proud of their perseverance!
Today the students began creating a number line. They practiced writing their numbers and counting up to 100. Additionally, students practiced skip counting and how this looks on a number line.
During ELA, we worked on creating words (word blends) using manipulative blocks and 'scooting' between centers. We also challenged ourselves to write a sentence with the word that we had created!
The students continued their multidisciplinary work (science/art/Spanish) on blending and naming colours created using magnetism! Ask us which primary colours make 'anaranjado' (orange)! We practiced partner reading today and what a 6-inch voice (whisper voice that can only be heard by our partner) sounds like.
In Social Studies, we began looking at a map of Canada - tracing where Terry Fox ran and naming the different provinces and territories. We are excited to learn more about Canada!
It was a pleasure to meet parents and guardians last week during the Parent-Teacher conferences.
