Reminder that tomorrow is Picture Retakes and Class Photos! 📷
Library on Thursday! Bring your books to renew/return.
In ELA, students worked on 'power writing' where they incorporated adjectives into their writing to describe an animal picture. We worked together to create a class example and a wordbank. Then students created their own descriptions - they did amazing!!
In Science, we worked on composing a hot and cold introductory page for our new unit. The students were excited to show what we knew!
In Math, the students had new math centers for practicing addition in a variety of ways. We used manipulatives and fun games!
In Social Studies, we discussed what a community is and what is found in a community (e.g., people, stores, places, etc.)
The students worked hard on a multidisciplinary project that combined Art, Spanish, and Math to construct a scarecrow (espantapajaro) using 2D shapes. We are excited to continue working on these!
We were excited to create an art display of 'Creepy Carrots'. Take a peek below!
