Tuesday Post

We have library on Thursday - Please bring your books to return/exchange! We also have our Scholastic Book Fair Preview during this time after we have returned our books. Then the following week (Nov. 24) students will be allowed to purchase items using cash. Additionally, the book fair will be open for all families on November 24 from 5pm to 8pm to coincide with conferences.

We had our first two days of Sound Kreations! We had a blast dancing along with our classmates and instructor.

We had our first science experiment for the hot and cold unit! The students predicted what happens to snow (nieve) when it melts (it turns into water). We predicted that there would be less water than snow, which is what we observed in the end!

In Spanish, we worked on completing sentences that described our scarecrows. These sentence prompts included:

  • Mi espantapajaro se llama...
  • Tiene... dos ojos, una cabeza, una cuerpa...
  • Lleva... una chaqueta rosada, pantalones verdes...
  • No tiene... dedos, piernas...

In Math, we started new centers about fact families! We are exploring how to represent numbers using different manipulatives.

Agenda Items:

  • Thank you to all those who have donated to the Veteran's food bank!
