ELA
This week in English we worked on finishing up our Diary of a ___________ writing piece. Students also started sharing their Stuck Stories with the class. Students are starting to bring in books from home to read to the class. This has been good for the kids. We worked with our Grade 5's and also went through our literacy centres.
ESP
In Spanish, the students were partnered up to work on a book review of a book in Spanish. They read it multiple times, clarified understanding and are working on a trip-fold book report. The students also went through there Spanish centres as well.
MAT
In Mathematics, we have been working on fractions and continuing to work on addition and subtraction through mental math and Fast as a Flash. The students worked on various fraction activities and tasks in class that have been quite engaged in their learning on this subject matter. We also incorporated 3D shapes in our learning.
We had the Lego Challenge today and did some Prairie art.
