We had our last swimming class today! Thank you to all the parent volunteers and to all for ensuring that students were prepared and ready for our swim lessons.
Today our treasure maps were sent home! Ask us how a magnet and paper clip can be used to find the treasure and how we could use a compass to navigate the map!
In Spanish, the students worked on Spanish syllables and practiced reading as a whole class and in pairs. We read a book about 'Unas Cosas' en la clase and a different book for the letter 'V'.
During English, we brainstormed and created a word bank for what we loved about swimming. Then we began a journal entry on our swimming experience.
In Math, we were excited for some new math centers! We continued to practice addition facts with answers up to 20 (mental math), reviewing the addition strategies from last year, such as +1, +0.
