Today was our last day of Sound Kreations! Ask your child about Sound Kreations and the new dance moves that they are learning!
On Thursday during our library time we will have the opportunity to purchase Scholastic books. There will be no book exchange this Thursday. Please bring your books to return/exchange next week.
In Art and Spanish, we used watercolours to create a hot or cold pattern. We traced our hand print and laid it against a black background. We learnt about the use of 'negative space' (the empty space around and between the subject of an image). Afterwards, we practiced writing and identifying the colours in Spanish used to create our artwork.
In Social Studies, we continued to explore Meteghan in Nova Scotia. We worked together to create a concept map of Meteghan's location, geography, and climate.
In Math, we began new centers that explored representing numbers and place values. We are practicing to use base ten blocks to represent numbers (deceneas/unidades or tens/ones). Then using place values we will move towards 1-digit and 2-digit addition.
In English, we are working on using adjectives to enhance and stretch our sentences. We had fun describing and creating stories!
